Can You Help Zoe Find a New Home?

Zoe is a beautiful 5 year old Tortie who needs a new home.  Her family loves her dearly, and they're heartbroken about their decision, but they know that the environment that Zoe is in right now is not her ideal situation.

When the Wang family took in a stray female a few years ago, they had no idea what they were in for.  They slowly worked with the shy orange cat, feeding her when she came around, and eventually coaxing her in their house.  Their timing was impeccable.  Days after bringing her inside, she gave birth to four tiny babies - one of them being Zoe.

Here is what Zoe's "dad" had to say about this precious girl and why she needs to find a new family that could better match her personality and her needs:

Life with the kittens was fun, interesting and educational.  Fast forward to November 2004, we brought home our first baby, and that’s when we started having issues with Zoe.  She started acting out, attacking other cats (her siblings), and most disturbing, she started marking her territory.  The attacks got so bad that we sent one of her sisters to go live with my parents since they recently lost their cat.  We thought that Zoe just needed some time to adjust to the new arrival.  In 2006 we brought home our second son, and Zoe’s behavior seemed to escalate.  It’s gotten so that we can’t keep up with the boys, let alone clean up after a cat that is obviously not happy with the current situation.  We were hoping that she would adapt to the boys as the other cats have, but she has not.

Zoe is not happy with all the noise, boys and other cats, and she’d probably be happier as the only cat in the house (or with a cat of her choosing) and with no young children.  It was not an easy decision for us, but we believe that it is in everyone’s best interest and happiness.

Do you or someone you know have a place in your home and heart for Zoe?

Zoe is very energetic, loves to play, and she craves attention (she’s just afraid of approaching us for it since the boys are always around).  She mews and chirps at you when she wants something, usually food.  She is also very smart.  She was the first kitten to learn to walk, the first to respond to her name and “babies”, and she can unlock cat doors.

Please pass on this information to every animal lover that you know to help Zoe find the right home.  She's been very well cared for, and very well loved - but she needs to find a home where she can thrive and be the happy, healthy, wonderful girl that she is.
