This doggy day care came highly recommended from Knollwood
client, Theresa Cava, mom to Oreo. Here is what Theresa had
to say about Pals For Pups:
It is owned and operated by 2 women (Patti and
Val) who have years and years of experience with dogs. They
have about 9,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor play area.
The outside is fenced with a high privacy fence and has smaller
stones and trees for shade. The indoor area has Big Paw Land
and Little Paw Land. There is a nap room where the dogs can
relax from a hard day of play between 11am – 1pm. They get
plenty of exercise as Prince Oreo sleeps all the way home and even
has fallen asleep next to his food and my dog never passes up a
meal. You get a report card at the end of each day letting
you know how your precious behaved while you were gone. Patti
also sends a picture or two throughout the week so I can see my guy
in action. They also have grooming, boarding and training on
location as well. Boarding also includes play during the
day. No need to worry about your baby while you are gone
because at night, he is doggone tired – believe
me.
The cool part of this place is that on Saturdays
between 9 – 11am and 11:30 – 1:30pm they have Yappy Hour. You
can come with your dog and stay and play for only $10. The
difference between this and the dog parks is that the owners still
check health records and evaluate the dogs rather than just letting
them jump right in. They are also there to chaperone the
dogs’ play so they are safe.
I have to say, the owners did a nice job of
combining the best of the daycares and came up with a huge
hit. I strongly suggest that if you can’t get your dog in for
daycare that you get him there for Yappy Hour. He still gets
to socialize and you do as well.
P.S. If you check out the Yappy Hour pictures in
the Gallery, you will see Oreo and even me in one.
