Dr. Mitchell's e-newsletter

The e-newsletter of Knollwood Hospital for Pets is written by Dr. Mitchell (with occasional guest commentary) and is edited by Knollwood's Webmistress, Kelly.  Our former "snail mail" newsletter, Pawprints, has been largely replaced by this new e-newsletter, which has more frequent articles and can be accessed any time.  Of course, if you are an active client, you will still receive an occasional Pawprints in the mail - usually when we have something extra-special to announce!

In addition to current health care information, updates, hospital news, and Dr. Mitchell's admittedly biased opinion, you'll find articles excerpted from past mailed newsletters.  These date back to 1994, and reflect Dr. Mitchell's opinions at the time the article was written.  Please remember to never utilize the advice on this website without consulting your veterinarian first (even if your vet is us).

Click on the links below to read excerpts of our past newsletters and e-newsletters.  Dr. Mitchell will continue to have fresh commentary during most months of the year.

May/June 2009

Lizzie wants you to know that her herbal medicine is making her feel SO good that she felt well enough to advance her career!  She is acting as her mom's HR assistant as they interview new Doctors for the clinic.  She and Dr. Mitchell will both be back with a new column in August!

"Please don't buy my babies from the pet store!" - From puppy mill moms

Dr. Mitchell focuses on the horrendous conditions of puppy mills and the torturous treatment of the animals that are bred there.  She has a personal account from a foster parent of a puppy mill mom, and goes into deep detail about the physical and emotional ramifications of living in those conditions.

*WARNING*  This post contains graphic and disturbing pictures and details.
